The picturesque hills of the Roero, a typical Piedmontese landscape, are located to the south of Turin. It is the home of these sun-ripened apricots, processed according to a traditional recipe. They are preserved in a syrup based on the sweet Moscato d'Asti DOCG, a straw-yellow white wine made from muscat grapes with a typically distinctive taste - the perfect way to preserve the freshly harvested flavours of apricots. A great staple to have on hand in your pantry!
Tip: These apricots are versatile. They can be used as a garnish with vanilla ice cream, Kaiserschmarrn or cakes. They are also delicious when served as a side with meat dishes, such as game ragout for a sweet contrast.
