Many variations of the original recipe have been established, although debates continue as to which type is the best! This Fig and walnut variation is a favorite!.We recommend pairing it with coffee in the morning or of course just enjoying Panforte on its own.
TORRONE & NOCCIOLATO,
Located in L’Aquila, in the Abruzzo region of Italy, Sorelle Nurzia was founded in 1835 by Gennaro Nurzia. They later created the Gianduja Nocciolato nougat bar which will conquer you with its authentic and precious flavor according to the tradition of Sorelle Nurzia.
This is the chocolate Nocciolato version of the classic torrone enriched with fine Gianduja and crunchy hazelnuts.

BACI CHOCOLATES, Perugina
Perugina was established in 1907 in the center of Perugia by enterprising young women named Luisa Spagnoli. By 1922, Perugina had become a national icon with the launch of the chocolate that would make the chocolate house an international treasure. Ironically the original name of the product was “cazzotto”, which means a “punch”, because the shape vaguely resembled a clenched fist. This new roughly rounded chocolate featured granules in the chocolate capped with an entire hazelnut, covered by dark chocolate. During this period, a series of events would change history. A love affair began between Spagnoli and Perugina’s managing director Giovanni Buitoni. Spagnoli would send him “love notes” wrapped around chocolate. This led to the idea of rebranding the “Cazzotto” as “Bacio” and including a “love note” in each one. Buitoni & Spagnoli remained in love until her death in 1935. The Bacio chocolate they created together remains an international icon of romance through chocolate.
