In 1924 the history of the nougat of the Quaranta family began in Caravaggio, the city of the famous painter Michelangelo Merisi, known as Caravaggio. A century of tradition and dedication. The founder, Antonio Quaranta, with his wife Alzira dedicated himself to the artisan production of nougat and other sweets typical of the Cremonese and Bergamasca confectionery tradition including cotton candy, crunchy and the special nougat with carob honey. In a small laboratory in the heart of the historic center of Caravaggio, the recipe book was born with the precise indication of dosages and ingredients, some of which are still in production now: after almost 100 years the recipe 101 of soft nougat with almonds is unchanged!
